27.08.2007 came and went like any other boring Mondays. In fact, i was suffering from an intolerable bout of Monday blues. So overwhelming that i was contemplating to go shopping alone. But alas, i surrendered to laziness and decided to drag myself back home after a visit to the VCD rental store. And so the rest of 27.08.2007 was history. I plonked the sluggish plump bosy of mine on the bed and kept my eyes peeled on the TV screen. Watched the saddest movie so far i ever caught in 2007. Ironically the title was Happy Birthday. (Ok i admit i rented it on purpose). A very simple, in fact cliched story line with all that romantic elements but poignant enough to win my buckets of tears. For a moment in the confusion of tears and emotional turmoil, i wondered whether i was weeping Xiao Mi or i was wallowing in self-pity. The senseless and silly wait for the birthday wish from someone who probably didnt even remember what day it was. Ever so silly and foolish. The most boorish and loneliest birthday ever. But luckily there were still Rene and Louis to sing me the good old Happy Birthday song. Haha.
